Melody in Songwriting: Tools and Techniques for Writing Hit Songs is one of the books that I was referred to by someone. After doing some research on it I discovered that it was more for intermediate and advanced individuals. Are there any good songwriting books about there for beginners. I’m sure the Melody in Songwriting can be helpful as well but are there any other books out there
Songwriting for Dummies is probably good for a beginner; most of the "For Dummies" series are very good. All of the other songwriting books I looked at seemed too advanced for someone just starting out.
